USCG Certified Tac-79 37mm Boat Flare Pistol Launcher

Please note: this particular launcher is great for land or water use.  It is USCG approved, however, if you would like to use it for maritime use, select the USCG version of the launcher above.  We will engrave the USCG certified number (160.028/29/0) on the side of the launcher.  To fire standard 12ga boat flares (i.e. available at any sporting good store), a 37mm - 12ga adapter is required and included.

Our 37mm launchers are NOT firearms. That means no firearm ammo—period. Do not use adapters to fire 12 gauge, centerfire, rimfire, or Beehive rounds through this launcher. That’s a fast track to wrecking the launcher, hurting yourself, and putting yourself on the wrong side of the rules.

Break this rule and you’re risking serious damage, personal injury, and potential ATF violations (BATF rules).  Oh—and the warranty instantly goes out the window.

The Tac-79 is a launcher that can be purchased in a variety of different configurations:

• CONVENIENTLY, AS A PISTOL WITH A 6" BARREL

• HISTORICALLY, WITH AN AUTHENTIC MIL-SURP M79 FIBERGLASS STOCK

The Tac-79 comes with one 4" Picatinny Rail mounted at the 12 o'clock position on the breech end of the barrel.

The barrel also has a 6" rail on the bottom.

Drilled and tapped to accept any AR compatible butt stock using only the buffer tube, castle nut and alignment plate. Buffer and Buffer Spring are not required.

The Tac-79 handles standard 37mm ammunition. Available ammunition includes flares, smoke and other pyrotechnic rounds for civilian use. If you are a member of law enforcement or the military you can have a variety of “Less Than Lethal” rounds at your disposal. These include Batons, CS Gas, Wildlife Management (Bird Control) and crowd dispersing Rubber Pellets. The Tac-79 is ideal for use by SWAT Teams and others with critical tactical requirements.
